HOW TO SIGN UP & MOVE IN

On approval of your application we will send you a notification as from when you are welcomed to move in within 7 business days!

• Documents Required

  Please provide CLEAR copies of the following, as applicable (skip those documents which are not):
  1. For Student who will be residing at the Premises (Applicant) Identification Document (RSA ID).
  - Proof of Academic Registration for the Upcoming Year as a Student. (Should you not have this on hand, please upload your current Proof of Academic Registration or Latest Academic Results on T-Res.).
  - Letter of Confirmation of Bursary.
  - NSFAS Confirmation Letter or Financial Aid View from your UP Portal showing NSFAS Funding.
  
  2.For Self-Funded Students
  - You are Required to make a full payment of a period of 3 months in advance.
  - Proof of Payment must be attached along with your Lease.
  - The admin will contact you for approval and allocation a Room and set a date to move in.
  
  3.For Parents / Guardians / Sponsor
  - Identification Document (RSA).
  - Proof of Residence.

• Important Information

  FULL BURSARY HOLDERS
  If you are a bursary student, we require a letter from the bursar confirming the full Rand value of the bursary awarded to you, the date of disbursement and if payment will be made directly to Staruts Students Accommodation or via your university student account. Kindly provide us with a letter to this effect. If you are receiving a bursary of less than R50 000 for tuition and accommodation, the shortfall must be paid upfront.
  
  NFSAS bursary holders should note that NSFAS only covers the residence fees up to a capped limit per year, students are liable for the shortfall before taking up accommodation.
  
  PART BURSARY HOLDERS
  NFSAS bursary holders should note that NSFAS only covers the residence fees up to a certain capped limit per year. NSFAS students will only be accepted after the signing of their sponsorship agreement and the residence approval amount is confirmed.
  
  UPON SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION
  1. The applicant warrants that the information contained in their application is true and correct.
  
  2.In the event that the person(s) signing the lease is signing in a representative capacity, he/she warrants that he/she is duly authorised to act herein for and on behalf of the applicant. In the event that he/she not being so authorised, or in the event that the information relating to the applicant not being correct, the signatory hereto agrees that he/she shall be personally liable in all respects as though he/she is the applicant.
  
  3.The applicant agrees to pay a non-refundable administration fee in the event of this application being accepted by the landlord.
  
  4.The account holder as per credit information furnished hereby gives Staruts Construction Students Accommodation consent to do a credit worthiness evaluation.
  
  5.The personal information given in this lease application form will be used by us for the purpose of approaching you to promote or offer to supply goods or services, including promotional campaigns, offers or loyalty programmes which may be of interest to you, or for which you may qualify.
